William S. Lesko, M.D. FACS

Dr. William S. Lesko is an experienced ophthalmologist in Clifton NJ.Recognized as one of the most respected physicians in the area, Dr. William S. Lesko is the member of a family of prominent physicians.  His father Stephen Lesko was admired throughout his long time area practice.  And his daughter Cecily Lesko partners with him at North Jersey Eye. Dr Lesko trained at Mount Sinai Hospital School of Medicine in New York City.  He remains on that hospital’s staff and serves as assistant professor at the Mount Sinai Medical School. He graduated from both Fordham University and The College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with high honors.

Throughout his medical career Dr. Lesko has served on the highest levels of many influential national, state and local organizations.  He was a member of The Board of Councilor of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and served as President of New Jersey Ophthalmology Society.  In addition he served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Saint Mary’s Hospital, Passaic.

Dr. William S. Lesko is an experienced ophthalmologist in Clifton NJ.A pioneer in the use of microsurgery, Dr. Lesko introduced phacoemulsification cataract surgery to Northern New Jersey.  In addition he is recognized as leader in bringing laser surgery for glaucoma and same day out patient eye surgery to the area.

Continuing to run an active, comprehensive practice, Dr. Lesko credits his love of outdoor activities. Among other interests, he is an avid beekeeper and experienced fly fisherman. He is married and has five children.  Among his greatest lifetime honors, he has earned the beloved title, Pop Pop, as awarded by his seven grandchildren.

Stuart E. Wunsh, M.D. FACS

Dr. Stuart Wunsh is a experienced ophthalmologist in Clifton NJ.Dr. Stuart Wunsh is an assistant clinical professor of ophthalmology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and teaches pediatric ophthalmology at its Elmhurst division in Queens.  He serves as the Director of Ophthalmology at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Passaic where he has been president of the medical staff.  He is on the staff of The Daughters of Miriam in Clifton. Board Certified in Ophthalmology, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Wunsh is an elected member of the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.

Dr. Wunsh was born and raised in the Bronx, NY.  He graduated cum laude from Alfred University receiving his medical Dr. Wunsh is an experienced ophthalmologist in Clifton NJ.training at Cornell University Medical College.  He interned at Lenox Hill Hospital. Upon entering the Air Force, Dr. Wunsh spent two years as a Captain in the Medical Corps.  He trained in Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital and maintains an academic appointment there.

He is married and the proud father of two daughters who balance successful careers with raising families.  He has three grandchildren. For relaxation, Dr. Wunsh enjoys scuba diving and underwater photography.  He also enjoys playing golf.

Cecily A. Lesko, M.D. FACS

Dr. Cecily Lesko is an experienced ophthalmologist in Clifton NJ.A partner at North Jersey Eye, Dr. Cecily A. Lesko is an honors graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Mount Sinai School of Medicine.  While at Mount Sinai, she was elected to the Apha Omega Honor Society and awarded the prestigious Arthy Aufses Senior Prize in Surgery.  In addition, she served the hospital’s residency program in opthalmology and surgical internship program.

Dr. Lesko is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and The National Board of Medical Examiners.  She is also a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, AMA, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  In addition, Dr. Lesko has co-authored several research papers which have been published in professional ophthalmology journals.

On the staff of several area hospitals, Dr. Lesko remains on the teaching staff at the Mount Sinai Hospital and School of Medicine.

Dr. Cecily Lesko is an experienced ophthalmologist in Clifton NJ.An avid sports fan, Dr. Lesko played collegiate Basketball at John Hopkins University.  Today she is well known in the professional sports and media communities treating many local professional athletes, college coaches and television personalities.  In addition, she works with former NFL quarterback and current CBS analyst Boomer Esiason serving on the Board of Directors of his foundation to fight Cystic Fibrosis.   Most recently, Dr. Lesko traveled with The NBA’s Basketball without Boarders Program examining the eyes of children in orphanages in Africa.

Patricia Cucci, M.D. FACS

Dr. Patricia Cucci is an experienced ophthalmologist in Clifton NJ.Dr. Patricia Cucci, a native of Clifton, is a board-certified eye care physician and surgeon. She completed her internship at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and served her residency at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Dr. Cucci received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ) - New Jersey Medical School, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha as well as receiving numerous awards in recognition of her skills and scholastic achievement. She was the recipient of the ET Viett Academic Scholarship, the Gertrude Ash Memorial Scholarship as the top female graduate, and the dean's Achievement Award for top class rank. Dr. Cucci is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Seton Hall University with a degree in biology.
 
A Diplomate of The American Board of Ophthalmology and The National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Cucci is licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey and New York. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
 
Dr. Patricia Cucci is an experienced ophthalmologist in Clifton NJ.Dr. Cucci is on the staff of The Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she is a clinical instructor at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Dr. Cucci is married to former Cliftonite Christopher Bosco and has two sons. When she is not in the office, she spends time volunteering at her sons' school and attending their sports activities, photography, and computers. She also raises money for her favorite charity, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
